At Stewart School, our focus is to develop your real-world skills. Our salon-ready approach creates a culture of teamwork, creativity, passion, and business success; all focused on your future career.
Your talent can take you anywhere!
As a Cosmetology student your first eight days of training allow you to make sure this profession and school are the right choice for you. During your education you will experience a variety of color techniques, chemical hair reformation, cutting, styling, and working with all textures of hair. Cosmetology also includes skin care, microdermabrasion, makeup applications, lash extensions, nail treatments, nail drill, and related safety and sanitation training. Along with the basic services for hair, skin, and nails, you will also get to experience hair extensions, social media, and the business side of the industry. Our Academic team at Stewart School consistently works to make sure we are offering our students the most updated curriculum.
Our courses are developed and designed to be contemporary, relevant, forward thinking; all delivered with passion, commitment and technical excellence. Our goal is that you leave us inspired, with real commercial skills and insight.
Our proprietary method considers every aspect of your client (face shape, skin tone, sense of style). We study individual features, characteristics and personal style, applying each cut and color with careful consideration and precision, creating the ultimate individualized look that’s effortlessly sophisticated.
At Stewart School, we pride ourselves in teaching a seamless fusion of cut, color and client.
An education in cosmetology could lead you down many exciting career paths. A licensed cosmetologist could work as a stylist in a salon, become a salon manager or owner, provide makeup and skincare services, work as a manicurist, or specialize as a hair consultant. Cosmetologists could be sales representatives for a manufacturer of beauty products. They could offer their services on a cruise ship or at a resort, or become a social media influencer. Some cosmetologists go on to be a photo, magazine, or movie stylist. Licensed stylists are often able to set their own hours and work doing things that they love to do, which is very different from working in a traditional office, restaurant, or factory setting.
At Stewart School, we find that many students choose our cosmetology program because they realize traditional higher education is not for them. They prefer learning how to do hair, nails, makeup, and other beauty skills in a relatively short program with plenty of hands-on experience in the student salon area.
